Finnegan Development was built upon decades of hands-on experience in construction across New England by Jay Finnegan. Jay began his career balancing night shifts as a police officer with running a growing sitework business, a foundation rooted in hard work, discipline, and attention to detail.
Through the growth of Drum Hill Construction and a long-standing partnership with respected developer Katz Development, Jay played a key role in building residential subdivisions, multi-family communities, and commercial projects throughout the Merrimack Valley and New England’s seacoast. These efforts contributed to the development of more than 1,000 homes and condominiums, all of which continue to retain their value today.
In 2007, Jay’s son Ben joined the family development business. Ben opened a Lexington Finnegan office in 2010 and hired Lexington native Jamie Osborne to establish a custom homebuilding division. Under Ben and Jamie’s leadership, Finnegan built over 80 custom homes in Lexington, Concord, Winchester, Weston and surrounding towns.
On the Multi-family side, the Finnegan team has continued its multi-generational partnership with Katz Development, delivering 527 condominium residences since 2010. Specifically, the Finnegan/Katz team has focused on multi-family stacked flat condos close to city centers. Recent projects include 48 units in Stoneham, 32 units in Chelmsford, 48 units in Portsmouth, 24 units in Reading, and 32 units in Lexington.
